Senegal international Sadio Mane has allayed fear regarding his fitness in time for the clash against Leicester City.
The Liverpool summer transfer addition was on international duty, and there were concerns that he picked up a slight knock. Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp enquired about his fitness after the game. He received a report that he was substituted during the game against Namibia, adding that he was “fit and well.”
Mane is poised to make a return to England on Monday to start training ahead of the clash with defending champions of the Premier League – Leicester City. Mane has been in good form since his £34 million switch from Southampton this summer. He has surely given the Reds an edge this campaign. His start is similar to that of Luis Suarez, causing anxiety among the fans about what might happen in the title challenge as the season wears on.
Georginio Wijnaldum, Roberto Firmino and Adam Lallana are cover for Mane, while options like Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge are available. His versatility and work rate has definitely impacted on his teammates in such a short time.
Leicester City are off to a decent start this term. They have garnered four points from their three games, despite their first game stumble. Against Liverpool, the game promises to be exiting, and one tricky Premier League affair for soccer betting. Both are close to the middle in the standings, and would be willing to garner more points to rank higher. The game is set for Saturday, September 10, 2016.
The odds favour Reds play maker Philippe Coutinho to score, as well as Vardy probably due to Liverpool’s defensive struggles this term. Soccer betting odds are too close to call for both sides but the game promises to be a thrilling experience, after the Manchester City that same day.
