Los Angeles Galaxy will entertain Houston Dynamo in the Major League Soccer this Sunday.
The much famed club are currently placed eighth in the Western Conference, although they have two games in hand over Houston, who are third in the same standings. Galaxy have won four of their last five games across all competitions, and their 3-0 win over Orange City in the US Open Cup will provide them the added boost ahead of the league encounter. Former Barcelona graduate Giovanni dos Santos is likely to be relied upon for the goalscoring duties after having netted six times in 12 outings this season.
On the other hand, Houston have had a rather patch form of late with just two wins in their last five games. The club did not have an easy path beyond the 4th round of the US Open Cup on Tuesday as they had to scrap a 3-2 win over North Carolina in extra time. Erick Torres has simply shone in the Houston shirt this season with 12 goals and he could find himself fairly unlucky to miss out on the Mexican squad for the Gold Cup this summer.
LA Galaxy dominate the head to head statistics with 12 wins from 27 games and they will no doubt hold the advantage at home as they seek to prop up the table in the coming weeks. Galaxy could be backed with odds of 19/20 to take all three points while their opponents are at 3/1 to clinch victory on the day. As highlighted earlier, Dos Santos could be the main threat for the Houston’s defence, and he is predictably the favourite to score anytime with a best odd of 5/4 on the table.Houston’s top-scorer Torres is 7/5 to find the net at the StubHub Centre as he looks to keep pace with Chicago Fire’s Nemanja Nikolic in the race for the MLS Golden Boot.
